Justine Bower joined UKTV, a BBC Studios company, in 2014 and is UKTV’s Director of Consumer Communications and Social Media.
Before joining UKTV Justine held strategic communications roles at Sky, CNN and Channel 4, and has an extensive range of publicity and social experience, including launching brands, managing international campaigns and agencies, and crisis management.
At UKTV Justine overseas all social and digital communication and consumer PR for seven different channel brands including Dave, Gold, Alibi and Yesterday, plus TV on demand service, UKTV Play.
Justine has led the team on UKTV’s award-winning consumer-facing campaigns including the launch of Dave’s partnership with Calm which drove unrivalled tune-in to an ad break takeover, the multi-award-wining ‘Real Mr Darcy’ Valentine’s Day stunt for Drama/UKTV Play, and the highly-impactful multi-layered digital campaign to launch Red Dwarf XI on Dave. Justine is committed to the development, health and well-being of her team, which has been named Best Place to Work (in house) by PR Week. In 2019 Justine’s team won awards for Best Use of Social Media, and Issues and Reputation Management.
